The AACE Philippine Chapter held it’s first Diabetic Foot Summit last February 4 - 5, 2017 at the Marriott Grand Ballroom. The distinguished speakers were Dr. Maria Teresa Plata-Que, Dr. Enrico de Jesus, Dr. Josephine Bundoc, and Dr Luinio Tongson.
Objectives of the course were: To develop interest groups for diabetic foot management that will create awareness on how to manage cases. To develop confidence in taking care of diabetic foot ulcer. To create a health care network. To create a database for diabetic foot.
The program consisted of lectures, open forum, panel discussions, strategy planning, and informal discussions during break time. This 2 day event was made possible with the CME grant of Novo nordisk
